Thought Field Therapy (TFT)
What is TFT?
Thought Field Therapy (TFT) is a process that will relieve phobias, fears and emotional distress.
Problems such as these disrupt the body's internal energy flow, causing psychological upheaval that sabotages your emotional well-being. TFT is a user friendly process where you will tap on specific points on the body in a particular sequence to conquer your fears, anxieties, habits and other kinds of debilitating problems almost instantly. It can work for you in minutes and in short, can turn your life around.
TFT was discovered in 1980 by Dr. Roger Callahan PhD, one of America's most experienced Clinical Psychologists. Dr Callahan was dissatisfied with conventional therapy techniques which he found to be largely ineffective. He became interested in Applied Kinesiology, which addresses the body's Energy Meridian System and realised its techniques could assist in the treatment of negative emotions.
How does it work?
Thought Field Therapy is completely non-invasive and pain-free. There are no drugs, needles or any other instruments involved.
Will I have to confront my problem, fear, phobia?
With TFT there is no need whatsoever to talk about your problems over many hours of consultation. As a TFT therapist, I work by asking you to 'tune into the thought field' by thinking of the issue that's troubling you and using NLP techniques, ask you to locate the feelings and images that this problem creates for you. I will then take you through a precise sequence of tapping with your fingers on specific Energy Meridian points on your face, hands and upper body.
Are there any side effects?
No - adverse side effects from Thought Field Therapy are unheard of.
How long will it take?
TFT treatment works within minutes. This can leave you feeling liberated. Clients often try - without success - to bring back emotional upset that has caused them so much distress for such a long time.
How many treatments will I need?
One to three treatments are usually all that are needed in Thought Field Therapy. TFT can be used in isolation or part of a longer coaching package.
If you are involved in a continuing situation which can cause further pain and upset, I will give you the information on how to self-treat when the need arises.
Is TFT suitable for my children?
Definitely - they love the game of "tapping!" Its simplicity and safety make TFT particularly suitable for nervous children whose anxiety would make conventional treatment difficult and upsetting. There is no age barrier. I have used TFT with children with great success!
